Oklahoma City Chapter Launch

We are pleased to announce the establishment of the ISRM Oklahoma City Chapter.

The Oklahoma City Chapter aims to unite professionals, academics, and policymakers in advancing the understanding and capabilities in strategic risk and crisis management across all industries in the region. While recognising Oklahoma City’s significance in energy, agriculture, and manufacturing sectors, this chapter will provide a platform to address the unique challenges and strategies in various industries.

Through collaboration, knowledge exchange, and networking, the Oklahoma City Chapter will play a pivotal role in enhancing the resilience and preparedness of the community at large.

We are honored to introduce Kevin Hammond as the esteemed Chair of the Oklahoma City Chapter and Hart S. Brown as the Vice-Chair, leading us towards a path of excellence in strategic risk management

Kevin Hammond is a security risk management professional with nearly two decades of leadership experience working for government, private industry, and non-profit organizations.

Starting his career as a Loss Prevention Manager, Kevin then worked as a Police Supervisor, Regional Security Manager, and Chief Park Ranger, before obtaining his current security administration position in the United States Department of Defense.

Kevin holds an MA in Business and Organizational Security Management and has several professional credentials such as a CPP from ASIS International and a PSC from the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency. Additionally he serves in a volunteer leadership capacity for multiple professional organizations.

Hart S. Brown is a widely known expert in the governance of risk and resilience with over 25 years of experience covering a broad spectrum of organizations in both the public and private sectors and across 50 countries.

Currently, Mr. Brown serves as the CEO as well as the Security & Risk Practice Lead for Future Point of View (FPOV), a boutique strategy firm that assists organizations to plan for the future in 2-5- 10 year horizons and longer. In previous roles, Mr. Brown developed merger & acquisition strategies, successfully executed on an initial public offering (IPO), and created multiple specialized consulting practices.

Hart assists clients, conducts ThinkTanks, and delivers lectures worldwide providing a unique perspective on strategic risks as a futurist, a board advisor, and with the experience of managing crisis responses to some of the largest events in recent history involving natural disasters, incidents of violence, cyber events, and bankruptcies.

Mr. Brown regularly works with boards to better understand emerging risks, such as artificial intelligence, quantum computing, geopolitics, and climate dynamics. He also engages with the insurance community to develop new products, to include AIG, Chubb, Hanover, Berkley Re, Zurich, Talbot, Arch, Optio, and Gallagher among others.

He has written a number of books and appeared in over 90 publications including Reuters, USA Today, Wired, Risk & Insurance, Risk Management, CIO Review and many others.

Mr. Brown graduated from Texas A&M University, where he received a degree in Radiological Health Engineering and a graduate degree in Safety Engineering.
